I Would be surprised if they include public holidays in there consultation time, but nothing surprises me these days.
If anyone feels that this site is inapropriate for Hilton its got to be worth it so log on and put in your objection NOW!
Hilton already has a site and we have the camp at Foston which has vacancies!
If we want planning consent around this area it takes months so why are the Council in such a desperate rush to get this one through so damn quick? whichever way you look at it the planning laws were openly violated by the works the owners carried out in November without planning permission, as such if this application is granted it proves the point that it does not pay to be Honest these days just do what ever you want and get away with it
SO COME ON LOG ONTO THE COUNCILS WEB SITE AND LET THEM KNOW YOUR OPINION!!!!!!
Just a thought but dont forget there is another far larger piece of land the other side of Thorleys haulage yard that could well be applying for similar permission if this goes through?
Should this first permission be granted the council could hardly refuse a further development of this type could they??
I dont have any proof of this or any other information just to be totally clear with you all, but the price this piece of land sold for was a lot of money for about half an acre of derelict brownfield contaminated waste land.
