Washing machine repair

Hi, does anyone know of a repair service for washing machines?

Mine has been making a strange noise recently and I think something may have gotten into the space between the drum and the casing. I've taken the lid off and peered in but I don't fancy taking it apart and being sure its still waterproof if I put it back together.

The local chap in Kyle Road is good - he's sorted out our fridge, washing machine and oven (not gas) for us. I forget what name he trades under - hopefully someone else will know who I mean. If not, I'll try and dig out some old paperwork and find out.
